Bahasa Indonesia: Pantun

A.    Pengertian Pantun :

Pantun adalah: Puisi lama yang terdiri dari empat baris dalam satu baitnya. Baris pertama dan kedua merupakan sampiran, sedangkan baris ketiga dan keempat merupakan isi.[1]

Syarat-syarat Pembuatan Pantun :

a.       Tiap bait terdiri dari 4 baris

b.      Tiap baris terdiri dari 8 sampai 12 suku kata, tapi yang lazim 10

c.       Bersajak  sengkelang yang berusmus a-b-a-b

d.      Baris pertama dan kedua dinamakan sampiran, sedangkan baris ketiga dan keempat dinamakan isi.

Pada bagian sampiran kalimat yang dibuat kadang-kadang tidak ada kaitannya dan tidak mempunyai maksud. Pada baris ke tiga dan keempat kalimatnya bermakna, sesuai pada jenis pantun yang dibuat.

Menurut isinya[2] Pantun di bagi menjadi :

1.      Pantun anak-anak

2.      Pantun muda / remaja

3.      Pantun Orang tua

4.      Pantun teka-teki

Menurut bentuknya pantun di bedakan menjadi :

1.      Pantun biasa

2.      Pantun berkait

3.      Talibun

4.      Pantun kilat
